• Monumental is a series that explores the relationship between architecture and landscape. These monoliths, with their pure and mysterious forms, are set within desertscapes that provoke contemplation. Devoid of scale, they exalt the surrounding terrain: are they gates, walls, or boundaries ? Do these structures offer passage to elsewhere, or are they barriers that confine us and strip us of our freedom ?
